Just copy your .PST file to the external hard drive, then open that .PST
file on the new computer. (

Now then....after you do that I would copy the items from your old PST to a
new PST file on the new machine because a Unicode PST file (Outlook
2003/2007) is more robust and reliable than the old binary PST files
(earlier verisons of Outlook) is.
