Copy Here as Note with Text

Hi. I want to merge two .pst files by copying my contacts and
notes from one to the other.

I was able to move the contacts just fine. However, when I try to
copy items from one Notes folder to the other, I get the message
"Copy Here as Note with Text," and it wants to create a single
note from my 226 items. I don't want a single not; I want the
original 226 distinct notes.

I was able to copy the Notes folder to the new file and it
created a new folder called Notes1. I thought maybe I could solve
my problem by deleting the Notes folder and renaming Notes1 to
Notes, or by renaming both folders. However, I am not allowed to
either delete or rename the Notes folder.

Can anyone tell me how I can get my 226 notes into a Notes folder
in the new file without having to copy them one by one?

Thanks!

is it possible that your target folder is of the wrong type? I get what you
describe if I try to copy notes into an e-mail folder.

No, it's definitely a Notes folder. I created a new thread below
with the subject "Can't Copy My Notes", where I describe the
problem in more detail.

It's very strange....

Thanks for the reply.
