Hi there,
I have been trying to create msi packages from setp.exe files for around 30
assorted programs. I have experienced a variety of problems, the most serious
being that the program, winstall from the Windows 2000 cd, produces "copy
file error!" errors for many files in about 50% of all the packages I try to
create. I am trying to produce the msi ´s using a virtual machine, and saving
the msi´s to another server, starting with a clean VM for each new
installation. If I am doomed to failure with this, what other product could I
use for the same purpose?
i am at my wits end, and appreciate any help anyone can give me, there is
just about no information around for this tool, expect a KB article that only
references one error.
