The copy feature should allow for multiple item storage.

Suggestion -

The copy feature in Windows/Office could be greatly improved if you were
allowed to use keyboard shortcuts to copy/paste multiple items. For example
using ctrl + c + 1 would store 1 entry and ctrl + v + 1 would paste that
entry. That could be spread out over all the numbers 0-9. Then you could
easily have 10 items that you could be copying and pasting at a time. I am a
developer and it would increase my productivity immensely. (Any former
StarCraft players know what I'm talking about!)

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

You didn't mention the version of Word you're using, but just to add a bit to Suzanne's reply the MS Office clipboard holds 24 items
and you can select one or all to paste at any time using the mouse.
In Word 2003 or 2007 you can show/hide the clipboard and its entries using
Alt, E, B
but, there aren't keyboard shortcuts that I recall for specific entries to be used/reused. In part, because the clipboard is Office
wide and in part, I would guess that because of that, Word's ability to reassign keyboard shortcuts might cause other conflicts.

In Word there is also a 'Spike' option that can stack entries and then paste them back in all at once, the difference being that
when you add an item to the 'spike' it's removed from the document and added to the stack on the spike. Using Ctrl+Shift+F3 pastes
the contents of the spike with the first item in being the first item out.

I am using Office 2007. But my suggestion was more applicable to enhancing
current Windows shortcut key assignments. Adding the ability to copy/paste
using a number selection, would work like the office clipboard, only instead
of using the mouse to access the clipboard, you would be able to use keyboard
shortcuts and it would work in any program.

Thanks for the responses.
