My server tells me that my mailbox is about to reach its capacity limit. I
need to move emails to my HD or to a CD. Could anyone please tell me step by
step, without too much jargon, how to go about it to accomplish this? Thanks
in advance. Max

What kind of e-mail account are you using? POP3? IMAP? Something else?

Presumably you have the "Keep a copy on the Server" option checked - if you
do that without specifying a time to delete, then your mailbox on the ISPs
server will indeed fill up, and generate these warnings. You need to remove
some from the server.

Hi Gordon, thanks for your response. Yes, I have built up some mails in the
server. Question is: what is the best way to copy and save the emails in the
Sent items and In Box to my Hard Drive or CD Drive? Just High light, copy and
paste? and then remove the now copied, and therefore 'saved' items, from
Outlook ? I do appreciate your help in this. Thanks, Max

if you have a POP email account, then you already HAVE all the emails on
your HDD - they are in your pst file. All you need to do is, in the account
setting in Outlook, go to the Advanvced settings and set a no of days to
keep mail on the server - that will automatically delete those older than
the number of days you set for you.

In addition to what Gordon wrote, you should also back up your Outlook data
frequently, especially if you stop keeping it on the server. Look here for
all the information you need on backup and restoration of Outlook data:
