Hello,
A -normal- user cannot copy and paste between the terminal server
notepad and a client local notepad. Copy and paste does work however
for the administrator. And it does also work for the -normal- user if i
put him into the TS-server local administrators group.
The machine is also a citrix ps 4.0 machine and copy/paste works there
the same way (or better , it does not work for the normal user).
The server is updated to the latest microsoft and citrix public avail.
fixes.
Any idea?
To me it looks like a access rights problem.
But the event log does not show any related entry.
thks

Maybe you have a GPO in place for normal users with this setting:

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components
\Terminal Services\Client/Server data redirection
"Do not allow clipboard redirection"

I cannot find any GPO with the settings you have mentioned. the gpo
simply does not exist, there is no "Client/Server data redirection"
under terminal services ...
Is there a specific "local security policy"?

Make sure that you are using 2003 adm template files.

hi,
one more thing, probably.
we had to put the users in the power user group of the servers in order
to get the copy/past thing to work. not shure if this is by design, but
thought this info might help others.
cheers joern
