I am attempting to copy Data to a CD in D Drive. When I do so I'm asked to
enter a disk into the drive which is already there and re-inputting the disk
results in the same message. Windows Utility says D: Drive operating properly
and computer does recognize and load prepackaged software in the D:\ Drive.
Clicking on my computer with a Disk in the Drive only results in also asking
to input disk in D:\ Drive

Try Enabling CD recording on drive :
Right click the drive in My Computer > Properties > Recording tab
Tick "Enable CD Recording..."
Click OK

If that doesn't solve the problem then try enabling the IMAPI service :
Start > Run > services.msc
Double click "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service" and set the startup type to Manual.
Click Start button then OK
