Copy and Paste Word Document into FP2000?

How can I copy-and-paste an MS Word document into FrontPage 2000 and lose all that Word
style sheet crap (ex: 'MsoNormal') that Word likes to add?

What I'd like to do is simply open the word doc, select & copy all the text, and then
paste it into FP2000.

I tried a Ctl-A to select all the text in my FP page, and then selected "Format > Remove
Formatting", and as far as I can see it did absolutely nothing.

There's gotta be a way...

Thanks,

-Bill.

Paste into Notepad, then into FP

Open a new page in FrontPage.
In Windows Explorer browse to the Word document.
Drag the Word document onto the open page in FrontPage. or most
documents there will be very little cleanup to do, and some formatting
is retained.

Or save it as a .txt only file.

Then, I would not just lose the style formatting, I'd lose all formatting and when I
cut/paste I'd have a jumble of text.

Not a good solution.

I suggest that you do remove the formatting and then format in FrontPage.
Down the road, you will probably end up redoing that page anyway. Word
brings along so much extraneous HTML that it is nearly impossible to work
with.

If you DON'T remove the Word formatting, you are going to have all kinds of
problems.
