hello,

when I try to copy and paste anything, it will not work.
I can highlight, and I can click on "copy", but when I go
to the other page to paste it, it will not work.
When I right-click the paste option will not show as being
an active option and when I try to copy and paste using
the keyboard commands it will not work either.

The last time I had a problem like this, I just re-started
my computer and it took care of it, but nothing seems to
work..

Could it be a setting that I need to change? If so, where?

This can happen from a virus infection, try checking your system

Hello,

This is confirmed to be Windows 2000 SP4?
I only ask because there are a number of solutions to fix this but it is
dependand on the
version of the OS.

Also are you able to see what you have cut.... visible on your Clip board
viewer.

Hi, I have the same problem.
I can cut and paste text but I can not cut and paste files.

I have Windows 2000 Server SP2.
I had only one server that had that problem and now I have 3.

I have scanned the drives with 2 AV scanners
Servers have been rebooted

It may or may not directly affect the cut and paste functions, but why not
update to 2000 SP4 to take advantage of the security updates contained
therein?
