Control-C to copy text works just fine ... But when I try
to paste the text into a field inside IE 6 browser using
Control-V, there is no response and the text is not
pasted ...

Any suggestions?

I'd try a different keyboard ,just to rule it out.

Where are you copying from? It may have the wrong attributes.
Try pasting into a Notepad window; then copying from there and
retrying your paste in the IE field.

I would try it with just your "Mouse" and also try to "Paste it to IE with your Mouse. "Right Click" and see if that works. If so...I would suggest what someone has already suggested. Replace the keyboard or re-install the driver(s) for your keyboard
