I've copied and pasted into my email many times. Now when I attempt
this, the whole email program shuts down. I can copy and paste from
another email in the program, but if I try to from a text doc or Word
doc etc. the email program shuts down and I lose everything that
was in the particular email I was writing. Thanks

The best cure for that problem is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

http://download.live.com/wlmail

What does that do to what I already have? Is there danger of losing
the emails in my inbox, saved folders, etc?
Thanks for your reply.

You do NOT want to uninstall KB963027 and it has nothing whatsoever to do
with your problem!

You won't lose anything. Windows Live Mail copies everything you have
in WM and imports it. Also, WM is still there and can continue to be used.
It's worth a try. If it turns out you don't like Windows Live Mail, just uninstall,
no harm done.

Windows Mail shuts down, or Windows Live Mail shuts down?
Note that "Windows Live" (recently renamed to Windows Essentials)
stands for a whole suite of programs:
http://download.live.com
If you are indeed having a problem with Windows Live Mail,
you will get more help by posting that question in the WLM newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...e.mail.desktop
or via your news reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...e.mail.desktop

Sorry, I don't have another solution for the problem of Windows Mail
shutting down when you paste into it. I did see a possible workaround
where the user pasted into the CC line, then he copied from there into
the body. Sounds strange, but it may work for you.
