Copy & Paste Macro

Hi everyone!

I need some help to develop a macro in Excel 2003. I want to design a template that would keep track of information; and, I need to continue adding to it. So, I want to be able to make a macro that would insert certain rows, so that I can fill out the information. I've tried to record the macro by just copying and pasting the rows while the record is on, but when I push the button, all it does is select the rows I copied and pasted. If anyone could let me know what I'm missing, it'd be greatly appreciated!!!!
