Copy and Paste between 2 monitors.

I have 2 monitors connected to my laptop and I can move windows between these
montiors and sometimes I do have a remotedesktop session on the second
monitor and do copy, paste the text between these two. But sometimes I can
only do one way not between those two. So I have to shutdown the
remotedesktop and startover again.

What is the issue? How do I resolve.
