NTUser is a system file, you won't be able to access it for copying while the
computer is running unless you use a backup application with Volume Shadow
Copy capabilities like Symantec's Drive Image 8 or Acronis True Image.

PageFile.sys is a system file for Windows Virtual Memory (Simply put: PC
uses hard drive space to store information and not deplete Physical RAM)

If your external hard drive is a Retail Drive, it may have software included
with it.

Well Lars you have to realize that your external hard drive must be in a case
specially meant for that. The case has two connecters, one for the power which
comes from a small box which takes the 250 volt down to the voltage required to
drive the hard drive inside.

The other connector is a USB2 connector. That connects to the rear or maybe you
even have a front connection for that.

You use the explorer to see that your External drive is connected. Once you see
the extra connections, they could start at D: or onwards you simply drag and
drop the files you need to transfer.
