I select a text box, copy & paste it. The pasted result is a graphic, not a
text box. I know you can select this via paste special -- but powerpoint is
now doing this for _everything_ by default and I can't find out a way to turn
it off. Help please! Thanks!

Do you have any add-ins or any Windows utilities running? Which version of
PPT and Windows are you running?

How are you copy/pasting the textbox? I remember someone had problems with
funky pastes when he'd use Ctrl+C, but if he hit the Copy icon on the PPT
toolbar, things would copy as expected. Can't remember, but I think that was
caused by a non-PPT utility of some sort. Maybe TweakUI or something?

Many people would *love* to be able to set the default paste as a graphic,
but MS hasn't provided that capability. I'm almost jealous you have it (!!),
but I know that doesn't help you when you don't really want it. :-)

Don't know what caused it. But it stopped when I rebooted (trying to fix
it). Isn't that always the case? My entire system went wonky... copy and
paste wasn't working in other applications (couldn't copy between IE and
firefox, for example... but that's a common issue normally too).

Thanks for your help!
