I disable this in bios for a while but then the AMD 3200+ on the K8V
delux baord runs at about 41 c or so to 42. With it enabled it runs
around 33C. What I find is some times when I bioot up the CPU seems
stuck at 800 and makes thew computer very slown even causes programs
like Microsoft Word to just lock up with the hour glass when you try
and open and document. Has anyone else run into this problem. Some
times after boot up the cpu will run only down to 1800. Any fix for
this would be a big help

Thank You

Are you going to somehow weave a Radeon or some form of ATI product into
this tale of woe?

I notice that certain a-holes look for posts to make fun of, mock,
slander and generally show thier intelligence rather than trying to
help. If the post doesn't make sense to them then it's a green light
to "talk down" on another.
To woe is such a person.

Disable the feature!!! It's a horrible "throttle the cpu speed to keep the
cpu cool and let you run your fans slower so it's quieter" feature that just
eats your hard-paid for performance for breakfast - the complete opposite of
overclocking!

41c for a 3200+ is not bad at all - my 2800+ runs at 52c permanently and
it's totally fine.

HTH,

Neil

I set it to 1800 so the cpu run around 40C instead of at 50C when it
