cookies and access

I recently deleted cookies from my computer, and ever
since, I have not been able to access certain frequently-
visited sites, such as my email program and other secure
sites. I have enabled cookies, but they still won't let
me into password related sites. Somebody please help me.
This is driving me crazy!
