Cookie not created for session expiry

When i set cookie expiry to -1 or doesnt set expiry at all to make it session
expiry, the cookie doesnt get created.The cookie getting created fine in
other browsers like firefox.Only if i give cookie expiry to some value
greater than zero its created fine in IE.Any idea pls let me know....
