I type my files in Word, but then copy and paste them to WordPerfect to send
to my office. I have found this to be the easiest way to do this. However,
I recently downloaded an update to Office XP from microsoftupdate.com and
ever since when I paste my Word file into WordPerfect it inserts page numbers
and headers/footers automatically. I know that you can go in and discontinue
the page numbers and headers/footers which I know how to do, but I want to
know how to stop them from automatically inserting themselves. I have not
added any page numbers or headers/footers in Word; they just seem to insert
themselves when I paste over.

It seems to me that if you are copying content from Word which has no H/F,
page numbering, etc., there probably isn't much on Word's end to be done.

You might try copying all but the last paragraph marker or using something
in WP comparable to Paste Special, but its hard to understand why one of
Word's Save As formats wouldn't be far more acceptable than the other
options... Even RTF or _ if preservation of formatting isn't necessary - as
a Text file.
