Make sure you have Hide file extensions for known file
types turned OFF in your folder options. You should then
see the full file name (maybe you do now) with simply
browsing with Explorer to where it is saved on your
computer. Without opening it, just click twice slowly on
the HTMLtest.html.txt under the icon, (i.e. Renaming the
file by right clicking should work too.) and taking out
that .txt entension. This should work, as far as I know
you were in Notepad trying to "save as" and putting .html
in there. It will still save it as a text file that way.
Rename it outside of the file itself.
