Still having trouble converting a jpeg image which I
scanned into WindowsXP. I know the image is in there
somewhere but am unable to preview it or open it. I get a
notification that IE version 6 does not save graphics
files in the jpeg format. I have received and tried a
suggestion to right click the file and open it with
paint, click on the file and save as, select BMP, and a
new file will be added to the folder. However, I am
unable to open the folder. When I attempt to do so, I get
the message that the format is not currently
supported;consequently I am unable to make the choice of
selecting bmp. There has to be a way to convert an
existing jpeg to a bmp image, but I have yet to find the
magic button.
thanks for your help.

If you are unable to open the folder where the file is, how do you expect to
open the file and then convert it?
What does IE6 has do to with a scanned picture?
You scanned a photo, you saved it in some folder. You gave it some name.
Search for it to find it so you can locate the folder. Then convert it from
..bmp to .jpg

OK...if your scanner is connected and you
open a folder that contains images you
should see the option to "Get Pictures From
Scanner Or Camera" under Picture tasks.

If you select the option and scan your picture,
the next screen gives you the option to select
a Name, a Format, and a save folder for the
scan.

If you did not specify a save folder....the default
is...My Documents/My Pictures/Picture...
Can you find and open this folder?
