I am trying to convert my emails to pdf files, but I keep receiving a message
stating that "item failed". Is anyone else having this same trouble?

And HOW are you trying to "convert emails to pdf"?

While in Outlook and viewing email, I click on Adobe PDF tab to click on the
conversion tab. It looks like it will process the email to the PDF, but then
it states in the status section "item failed".

Then you probably need to ask in Adobe support - sounds like an Adobe
problem not Outlook....

How are you trying to do this? Outlook does not contain the ability to
convert mail to PDF on the fly. You must have some kind of add-in for that.
