G'day all,

I am just very new to "creating videos" with windows movie maker.

All i seem to be able to save the "projects" is the default format.

I need to convert the projects to a format that is suitable for use on
website's something like " .jpeg" or something...can anyone suggest a free
method for doing this..??

JPEG? That is just a single image...not a video.
To save as a movie file .wmv or .avi...instead
of a .mswmm project file. Try the following steps:

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as movie, use menu File -> "Save MOVIE As"
or press key Ctrl-P
or use the "Save to my computer" under "Finish Movie" step on the left
hand task bar.

In the Save Movie wizard, first screen allows you to select a name for
the saved movie and the next screen is "Movie Settings". Click on "Show
more options..." and you will have all the different options to select.

Dear Rehan,

Sorry i don't get that option i save the movie and the ONLY screen that
come's up save's it's name and file type....and the only type offered is
".MSWMM"...which i think is it's default setting as it's short for
"MicroSoft Windows Movie Maker"....what i need is to be able to install other
filter's i think so i can have them as the choice....i think i am not really
sure though...
