Hi
I have a dual boot system: XP/2K PRO, C & E drive
respectively. I would like to remove/uninstall the 2K OS
and use the E drive for my Documents and settings etc.
What is the simplest way, using best practices, to
accomplish this? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You can't relocate the doc & settings, it is a fixed system folder. You can,
however, move the My Doc's folder for each user.

Removing the 2K OS is as simple as deleting its system folders while working
in WinXP and then removing the reference to it in boot.ini.

Hi Scott,

Provided you are sure that the system is not booting from E:\, sure.

Hi,

No, formatting will remove them (actually, it will allow them to be
overwritten, but that's another story). Deleting the unwanted system folders
or formatting the partition housing them will achieve the same thing.
