Tools>Options - Save, check the box to save Data Only For Forms (which is a
document-specific setting). When you save you will get a typical Save As
dialog where you can use the Save As Type: list to pick a file format. You
won't find Excel in the list as Word can't save in that format, but a txt
file (among others) can be used by Excel.
