I have heard this works, but am unable to make it happen.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299598

Convert an IEEE 1394 Disk Drive to a Dynamic Disk Drive
To convert an IEEE 1394 disk drive to a dynamic disk
drive:
Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Locate and click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dmadmi
n\Parameters\EnableDynamicConversionFor1394

On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then change the Value
Data field to a value of 1.
Quit Registry Editor.

I know the KB says this is for XP, but a couple of people
have told me that it works on 2000 server.

Has anyone got any advice?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve

This is what is said about 1394 and dynamic disks in Win2000:

My guess is that the registry setting does nothing in Win2000, Disk
Management has to understand the registry setting as well.

Best regards

Bjorn
