This is a forum for access databases so you need to ask in the excel forum

But (if your currency is format using local reginonal currency for your area
- that is NOT a text field) you could use the excel function IsText
Like this
=ISTEXT(Add absolute cell reference here)

eg
=ISTEXT(B2)
=ISTEXT(B3)
etc

As Wayne pointed out, this newsgroup is for questions about Access, not
Excel.

However, you should be able to convert the module in
http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0001.htm at "The Access Web" to meet
your needs.
