Usually there are limits placed by your/the recipient's email providers on the
maximum size of any single email and of the amount of stuff you can have in your
inbox at a time.
If you exceed any of those limits, then you won't be able to send the file by
email. Otherwise, no problem.

Yes, but unless you're using a VERY old version of PPT, it's already
well-compressed. Zipping doesn't usually shrink PPT files much.
