Convert Physical HDD to VHD

Is is possible to convert my current XP installation to a VHD. This would
be very nice to have after I do a clean install of Vista.

Are you asking if you can image your hard drive for the possibility of a
later restore? Sure you can, just google for "drive imaging".

No...I want to convert to .VHD so I can access it in VirtualPC.

No. You need to create a virtual machine in VirtualPC and install your
desired operating system. The hardware in a vm is emulated and has
nothing to do with the actual hardware in your system. Even if you could
somehow create a vhd out of your current XP OS, it would not boot
because of the difference in (emulated) hardware.
