Well, you’re still not making yourself clear. :-)
A .PAB file is a Personal Address Book. There generally is no need to
have more than one or two of them.
What you have, I'm guessing, is a single .PAB file that contains 900+
entries. A .PAB file is NOT the Outlook Contacts folder. If you have
an Outlook Contacts folder that is stored in a .PST file. You may ALSO
have a .PAB file as an address book. Furthermore .PAB files do not
contain vCards - a vCard is a file format of its own for transmitting
contact data between users - sort of like an electronic business card.
It's possible, I suppose, that you used Outlook 2003 with a .PAB file
created in an earlier version (though that is not the recommended way to
do it) and that you received vCards from people and added that
information (but not the vCard itself) to the .PAB file; though that
sounds pretty odd to me.
So...trying to untangle this...
Are your 900+ entries in the Outlook 2003 Contacts folder? Or are they
in the Outlook 2003 ADDRESS BOOK (not the same thing as the Contacts
folder) which could be a .PAB file?
I doubt that vCard has anything to do with this; it's a whole separate
file format. It's possible, I suppose, that you have a bunch of
individual vCard files laying around but that's incidental to a .PAB
file.
Finally - never assume that when people ask for help here that they have
tried anything at all. In fact quite a few of our posters haven't tried
anything, Googled anything or read anything. There is way for me to
know what you have or have not tried (especially when your terminology
doesn't make sense) and if I were to assume you've already tried the
things that should work then I'd spend a lot more time spinning my
wheels. If you don't specify that you did it, I'll have to ask if you
did.
So...the questions on the table - just trying to be very clear here:
* The file which you say contains 900+ entries. Is that a .PAB file?
Or is that a .PST file? Was it your Outlook 2003 CONTACTS folder or
your Outlook 2003 ADDRESS BOOK?
