What is the best method for preparing to upgrade to O/L 2002 or later on new
drive.

Will Profile difference be an issue? How to resolve?
Can I just copy the old pst file to the new drive and expect all to be fine?

Any advice will be sincerely appreciated.

Profile settings should be respected during an upgrade.

OL2k uses the same PST format as Outlook 2000. OL2003 can use older-style
PST files, but if you want to take advantage of the new unicode PST file
(not limited to 2GB) you need to create a new PST file in OL2003 and either
import or move/copy items from the old PST file therein.

Many thanks for the quick reply.
Understand:
Profile is administrator on win2k so need administrator Profile for Win XP.

Also understand how to import...arduous because of sub- folder structure of
inbox, and import does not take sub-folders
(or have I missed a step and can take the sub-folder with import?)

How do I move/copy the file structure of the inbox??

As I said, it should respect the mail profile settings in place already.

You can import everything if you wish - including subfolders. The
import/export wizard has a checkbox for this.
