convert movie clip to a mpeg format in order to edit to create a D

I have Roxio DVD creater and would like to make some DVD from windows meadia
filn clips. Is there a software program I can download to do this. I am
running a Dell desktop with Pentium 4 software with windows XP.

Roxio will do it for you.... use the VideoWave program.

I tried that but get a error message: unrecognized format. I think it is the
audio portion. However, it plays just fine in Windows Media. I assume there
are different formats that Windows media recognizes, but apparently Roxio
videowave doesn't. Have you seen this before?

I've not had any problems importing WMV files into Roxio (either v7 or
v8)..... you might want to try a trial version of either Intervideo's WinDVD
Creator v2 (www.intervideo.com) or Cyberlink's PowerDirector
(www.gocyberlink.com).. both should accept WMV files without issues....
again, at least my versions do.
