how to convert MFC example to VB.NET

How would i convert this c++ MFC example to VB.NET using pinvoke? its what
ive been trying to do for a while in VB.NET with playing an animated AVI
with a transparent background WITHOUT directx any help would be great... I
never worked much with MFC...thanks!
