Good afternoon all.

We use Cisco CNR and would like to move it off there to utilize the
DNS and DHCP service on Microsoft Windows 2003 Server. Is there an
easy way to accomplish this as opposed to typing all this information
in again? I am new at Windows 2003 Server.

Thanks

Dwane

Not sure if there is a direct conversion for DHCP other than starting with a
50/50 split scope and work from there but that can get tricky in a large
environment. There's not much out there to move something like that directly
from any platform to Windows, but many offer the reverse. Maybe DHCPexim may
help? Not sure if it supports it.

As for DNS, I would assume a simple zone transfer to Windows DNS and have
them coexist for awhile while you change over IP configs for all your
machines to the new zone, then once satisfied everything is changed over and
registration is operational, you can change the zone from a secondary to AD
integrated.
