I have converted a couple of Databases but this one is a little funny. When
I go to Tools> Database Utilities> Convert Database. Convert Database is
Grayed
out. Is that becasue it is not fully installed? This is a .mdb File.

Thank you

could it be that it is an even older version mdb?
try to open it with access97 to see what version it really is

is there any code in the MDB?
when the code contains errors you cannot convert it
again, open it with access97 and debug the code by compiling it

grtz

That is interesting but now it gets good. I moved the Database to my Computer
and to another co Workers computer and we could convert it and it worked
fine. Now When I go to the person who is using the Database I can not convert
it on their machine because the option is grayed out. I thought it had to do
with the install. Once I converted the Database I moved it to the Shared
Drive but they could not open it plus there is a workgroup on this database.
I have never seen the Option Grayed out before. This is a first for me.

Thanks

is it possible that that workstation only has the Access runtime
installed?
you can check that by going into add/remove programs

grtz
