We have a database in 2003 format. We open it in Access 2007 and try to
convert (or a SaveAs) to 2007 format. We are unable to convert because it
says we (the computer we are on) has it opened exclusively. I have done the
following:
(1) Made sure we are NOT opening the Db in the exclusive mode
(2) Tried coping all objects to a new Db; thinking if something was glitched
this would fix it
(3) Tried Compact & Repair
So far, all is to NO avail.
Anyone have some additional thoughts or tricks?

Try it like this, which works for me.
Create a new blank A2007 database and turn off the option to track name
autocorrect.
Import all into the new 2007 database.
