Controlling the speed of a dial-up modem connection

The chip is Conexant CX11252-11.

It did NOT response to ATS37 as well as ATF, which were the registers I
remembered that could control a modem's connection speed when making a
call. I tried ATN0S37=0 (to set connection speed as DTE speed), Still
no go.

What other AT command could I try?

Try section 3.2.4 on PDF page 77.

ftp://ftp.aopen.com/pub/manual/modem...s_released.pdf

I'd try something like this. Substitute V90 or whatever your
modem pool is using.

AT+MS=K56,1,300,33600,300,56000
