Controlling a network drive

I have a Netgear Storage Central NAS with two drives in it. The drives spin
down after about 10 minutes of inactivity and then come to life anytime my
local machine polls for available drives. This gets annoying, especially
because the drives are only used for backup and occasional file restore.

I can unmount the drives from the Disk Management tab of Computer
Management, but then I have to remember to remount them before the end of
the day, lest my 3:00a backup procedure will fail. I would like to know:

1. If there is a command-line interface fo Disk Management, so I can mount
and unmount my network drives via a batch file?

2. Or is there a better way to ensure that my network drives stay asleep all
day and wake up at night for backup?

Thanks...
