Control Tip text on form controls not showing

Hi,
I have controls (combination of text and combo boxes) contained within frames on an XL97 form. I have control tips on almost every control, however, the tips do not show up when the mouse hovers over the control. I also have a copy of the workbook on my laptop running XL 2003 where the tips show up fine. Unfortunately our organisation is still using 97.
Is there any way to get the tips to show?
