How Control Sound to Two Devices in 1 Computer?

Purchasing a Computer for a media room. Going to hook the computer up
to a desktop monitor with built in speaker, and to a large screen TV
with audio hookup. Getting a video card is easy since I will be able
to use either monitor individually or both at the same time. But what
about audio? Do I need a special card for audio? Afraid the audio
from the computer will come out of the large TV LCD even though I am
not using it as a monitor. Any ideas?

It won't unless you connect a cable from the soundcard to the LCD TV.

Unless of course he's connecting VIA HDMI from a compatible video card.
This is exactly what I do with mine. If I switch over my PC to the LCD
telly, the sound is ported as well via HDMI from my Radeon 4850. If I'm
using my PC normally, it uses my X-Fi card.
