Control Playback AND Recording Volume Controls

In my C#-Application I want to control the playback AND the microphone
volume. And if somebody changes the values in the system volume control
dialog, my application should also refresh its values.

I know that I have to use the winmm.dll and PInvoke but I get a lot of
problems with the recording volume control (the microphone).
