Control Panel Problem

When I run Add/Remove programs under Control Panel I get the following error
message:-

An unexpected error occured.

Class not registered

res://appwiz.cpl/listbox.htc
line 225

Eventually Add/Remove indicates no programs are installed and the list box
is empty however I scroll it and yes all my programs are listed, except the
buttons to remove or change are all disabled.

Some corruption obviously exists and I need to trace the problem, any clues
??????

Thanks and regards,

Hi Robert,

You may be able to solve this problem by registering APPWIZ.CPL. To do that:

Quit all programs that are running. Click Start, click Run, type the following
command, and then click OK:

regsvr32 APPWIZ.CPL

When you receive the "DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in APPWIZ.CPL succeeded."
message, click OK.

For more information about regsvr32 see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article:

KB249873 - Explanation of Regsvr32 Usage and Error Messages
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=249873

And if you still have the problem after registering appwiz.cpl, see the following
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article for other methods you can use to try to resolve the
issue.
