Hi ,
I had a problem with the Control Panel while trying to open the Add/Remove
programs. I also saw that quite a few people had similar
problems. Some people suggested to register the dlls or the cpl files. I
tried all of those and it didnt help.
Finally I ran the AdAware software to scan the system and it fixed the
registry problems. After this I opened the Control Panel and went
into the Add/Remove programs without any problems. So the bottomline is that
the computer was affected by some SpyWare program
which screwed up the registry. Hope this helps all those who are having
problems with the Control Panel.
