Whenever I click on START menu to access Control Panel or try to use Windows
Explorer to see my files I get a small pop up box that says ERROR at the top,
and inside the box it says "Explorer!". When I close the Error box all of my
desktop icons disappear for a second, then reappear. Other programs seem to
work. Any ideas on a fix?

Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Try
going back before this problem started.
Also check for virus, spyware, adware and trojans. You can use these
free sites.
