Hi
I am not a great user of my PPS 2003
I have received a presentation that I opened and tried to accelerate it from
"SLOW" to "FAST". That much I know to do.

BUT;

It has a sound clip and now once I set it back from PPT to PPS, the sound
clip will work but in every new slide it will start all over again from the
beginning.That is no continuity.

A) What did I do wrong
B) And how to reverse what I have done even if it goes back to "SLOW"
because right now the presentation is next to useless.

Thanks
Janet

You have applied the transition on slide 1 to all slides. I guess the sound
is part of this and it therefore repeats with every slide. In slide sorter
select all except slide 1 > Slide Show > Slide transition. In the sounds box
choose no sound. DO NOT click "Apply to all". See if that works/

Many thanks John BUT;

I am so new to this that I couldn't find what you called "Slide sorter".
I know to get to the "slide show" it is one of the menus, I know how to get
to the "Slide transition" which is in the "Slide show" but where is the
"Slide sorter"

Thanks again
Janet

Hi Again John
I have found the slide sorter, neutralized the sound on all of them as you
said, and even tried one of the other sounds that exists there and it
worked. BUT;

Apparently by selecting another song I lost the real one which is the "Born
free" song that came with the display. Where this one disappear? and is
there a folder on the computer that holds all those sounds such as the
folder "Media" for all other sounds of the computer?

Thanks again
Janet

Hi John
Here I am again. I went to the slide sorter, "Selected" and set the sound
to: "No sound" on all of them.Clicked "Save"
Then DI-SELECTED all slides and brought back the sound in the sound banks
roller window and selected the first slide. I assume this is how I tie the
first slide to the sound is it not?

Then clicked on "Play" but I got nothing, then I tried "Slide show" and got
nothing either. It means not I get no sound at all even though the .Wav file
is there, Could it be just the name there but the actual song is not there
at all?
And where is the folder where all those sounds resides?

Thanks
Janet

Transition sounds are embedded within the PowerPoint file (not in a folder\).
By saving you may have lost the original embedded track (this is why I said
select all EXCEPT the first slide). Do you have the original presentation ,
did it maybe come in an email? If so copy it and then start again selecting
all but the first slide.
