Hi

I am still having the same crashing issue with DVD Maker as per other posts
on here even after following instrictions to unregister the iac25_32.ax
file, the u impgd10.ax file and also searching for and deleting Indeo files
in my registry.

Please can anyone help (please note I am not a computer expert so please
keep it simple !!)

Simon

What is the specific and exact crash data for your current crashes as found
in the Problem Reports and Solutions center:
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket
?

Please don't listen to anyone who's telling you search for and delete codecs
from your registry unless they provide exact and specific values/keys to
delete. That's really rather a bad plan, since a lot of the DirectShow
stuff would just be broken by that. Myself or any other actual expert could
probably provide you a lot better advice than that flailing dangerous
advice.

Did you install any codec packs ever, and if so which one(s)? I have a list
of which of those are broken. I think only the very latest versions of CCCP
and the "Vista Codec Pack" do NOT damage your system. Everything else:
welcome to Horrible. It's just dumb to see them continue to ship crashing
filters that were politely disowned by the manufacturers sometimes up to ten
years ago.

Open up a CMD.exe prompt that is Run As Admin. If you don't run it as
admin, this won't work.
Run:
regsvr32 /u iac25_32.ax
in that command prompt, press return.

That should stop this crash.
