Continued life for Windows Defender?

Will Microsoft continue to provide updates/definitions for Windows Defender,
or is it going to be phased out (and give way to MSSE)?

Thanks. Humor me for a minute here, if you will--which of these two deadlines
will the definitions fall under--mainstream or extended? Either one is good
enough, but I'm just wondering.

Well - the product is not much use without definitions--so I think the latter, but they don't give that level of detail.

since it is installed in windows 7 I would bet at least until the lifetime
of windows7 it will remain
