Outlook 2002,
I'm stuck in the twilight zone. My outlook continues to receive the same
emails over & over again. Every few minutes! 100's of times already.

HELP!

This may not be your problem but that of the sender. The first thing to do,
if you can, is to log into your mailbox using a web interface to see if there
are actually multiple copies of the message being delivered to the mailbox.
If so, then the problem definitely is the sender's problem.

If, however, there is only one copy of the message on the server and Outlook
keeps trying to download it, then you should uninstall your antivirus program
and reinstall it without any mai lscanning feature and try again. If that
doesn't help, then start Outlook in safe mode (hold Ctrl as you start it) and
see if the symptoms change. if they do, you have an add-in that's causing the
problem. Let us know what you find.

2) I uninstalled all traces of anti-virus software...still downloading
those emails
3) tried to start outlook in safe mode; I get a message "cannot start
outlook, the key "display name" is either missing or has an incorrect value
[file C:\program files\microsoft office\office
10\forms\1033\secret(2).cfg\section description]"
4) I'm now running Spybot Search & Destroy...let's see if that helps

Thank You Brian, you've been a great help (even though we've not yet got the
bug)

Instead, try this: Start>Run>outlook.exe /safe
Be sure to include the space.

If you can log into the mailbox using a web server, examine the messages in
the mailbox and see if any look peculiar, in particular the one after those
that do download. Create a new folder on the server nad move that message to
the extra folder. Will Outlook download the rest now?

I went back & forth between all servers & outlook & I see that other
email is getting through---I just couldn't see them amongst all the repeats
from those few customers. And the new emails from those customers get added
to the repeat list.
I tried to delete the rule, then recreate it from scratch.
Back to the same thing

Rule? What rule? You never mentioned any rule up until now. Please give ALL
pertinent information.
