Any freeware utility which could deal with
the r-click menu.
I want to deleate some dead ones.
Any help to trace them in the registry to clear
would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I use the free Context Edit util from PC Mag and it works well.
Get it here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,3229,00.asp

Yes you're right - just rechecked. I checked out the link before
posting and it looked like it was still free but I didn't click the
filename. When I d/l it several years ago it was free and it's v1.2.
I note your link above seems to be v1.1 but there's probably not
much difference ...maybe?

It certainly does what you want with context menus.
You can even switch on/off context dll's etc.

Changes in Version 1.2:
- Fixed a bug that caused the program to get stuck in an endless loop
when reading the registry if it encountered a circular reference
(specifically, an extension key whose default value contains the name of
the same key). The program also presents a warning message when you
select such a key in the master list. This rare situation doesn't cause
any problems for Windows itself, so ContextEdit doesn't offer to repair
it.

I can post v1.2 on my webspace if anybody wants it - quite small.

I've still got the original zipfile and just installed it on my new
built PC.
