context menu extension to change folder name case?

I've found several terrific file/folder renamers with their own GUI's
and tons of renaming options. But what I'm looking for is a simple
context menu extension to quickly change the case of folder names. I'm
mainly interested in converting folder names to title case.

I used to use a program known as CopyAs, but it's been buggy for me in
XP (won't let go of handles). I've also seen the program "Recase," but
it doesn't convert to title case. Any others out there that you favor?

Thanks a lot for your help.

-Rich

Thanks, Sylvain. Unfortunately, Properties Plus (which I use and love)
doesn't appear to rename folders (and doesn't do title case for files,
btw). -R

What about using a renamer ? Not sure if fe (fast explorer) will do what
you want tho.

Rich I was able to come up with these three:

Not exactly what you want, but it does what you want (title case).

febooti fileTweak Case

Change file / folder case. You can modify file case by changing to
UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, RAnDom CAsE. It can
process single file / folder as well as tree of subfolders. Stand alone
member (module) of febooti fileTweak

Language: English
Platform:
Win95,Win98,WinME,WinXP,WinNT 3.x,WinNT 4.x,Windows2000,Windows2003
Requirements:

RenamerFairy is a tool designed for renaming large numbers of files.
It can be installed as a Windows shell-extension (so it appears on the
right-click menu for files) or as a normal application.

* Renames both files and directories
* User-friendly windows application
* Multiple text-handling functions
o Replace text in filenames
o Number files
o Add/Remove text from beginning, middle or end
o Change case of filenames (UPPER, Title, lower)
o Include/Exclude file extension in processing
o Unlimited Undo steps.
o Files can be individually excluded from steps of the renaming
process

RenamerFairy v4.0 is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP.

CaseRename

http://esca.atomki.hu/paradise/sac/utilfile.html

ftp://ftp.sac.sk/pub/sac/utilfile/caseren.zip

CaseRename program is a shell extension, it adds an item labeled
"CaseRename" in the context menu of drives and folders. It will open
with the selected folder and from there you can rename files in 8
different ways (All upper-case letters, All lower-case letters, Flip
the case of the letters, Capitalize Filename, Capitalize Words, Upper-
case filename, lower-case file extension., Zig-Zag, Change extension).

NOTE: The download link above is the only one I found that is active.

Hope these help.

Thanks, Protean. I've seen several renamers that would get the job
done. But for my purposes (i.e. regularly renaming single folders from
within Windows Explorer), I'm looking for something quick and clean,
just two or three clicks and no new GUI in between. I appreciate your
help.

Zo,

Thanks for your suggestions. Wow, you reached far and wide for those.
I'm actually surprised there isn't a relatively well-known little
program to handle this task.

As of now, I'm using PowerPro to "send keys" to the febooti filetweak
Case 1.0 program that you suggested. Kludge accomplished. Many thanks
for your help.

-Rich

P.S. But if anyone out there knows of a little program to do the job
more simply, I'd love to know about it.

<snip>

RenamerFairy is a beauty. It allows me to select from an Explorer
window, only those files in a folder which I wish to rename, rather than
the whole folder. And so many options! For me, it replaces A Better
File Rename, which is limited to only 10 individual files selected at a
time.

Bonus: It works from a Find window, over multiple subfolders.

Thank you for drawing my attention to this program.
